About Danielle
Danielle Miller is a 22 year old who grew up in Centralia, IL a small town in Southern Illinois. She graduated from
Dominican University in River Forest, IL, where she majored in Nutrition and Dietetics. Danielle has always been
very active in athletics and participated in high school and collegiate sports. At Dominican, She played
basketball for three years and worked for the Athletic Department. During summers, Danielle worked for
Skywarks, directing sports camp for young kids in the Chicago suburbs. Her work experiences also includes
working in the dietary department of a long-term care facility-serving adults with severe developmental
disabilities. Danielle's interests include vegetarian cooking, running to stay healthy, and supporting the Chicago
Bulls, She will be completing her dietetic internship with Morrison-Chartwells at the end of August. She is a
country girl at heart but has been won over by the thrills of big city life.
Danielle developed her love of nutrition when realizing the value of good nutrition to a healthy athlete. As a
vegetarian, she also needed to learn to cook and eat to meet her specific energy needs. Danielle enjoys
participating in many sports. She makes every effort to be active and eats a healthy diet in an effort to stay
healthy. She has a variety of interests in the nutrition field. She enjoys working with people of all ages and
different health circumstances. Her goal is to combine her passion, experience, and education to teach
individuals the value of nutritional health and fitness. Danielle has not yet decided on an area of specialization,
however she would like to gain experience in a variety of setting with all populations.
